Win Born Holding was not assembled from acquisitions. It was built, one business at a time, by one family — and it started with a man who had already failed more than once.

Nikom Chanakerd was the son of a farmer. By the time he founded Siam Win Born in 2000, more than one venture of his had already failed. He did not begin at zero — he began below it, and he built anyway.

The business started by building machinery. Over the years it became something larger: under the Win Steel name, Siam Win Born now supplies the materials other people build with — steel in every shape, along with hardware, cement and the tools that go with them.

The second generation — brothers Ratchanont Chanakerd (Lumzum) and Ratchanart Chanakerd (Dd) — took over Win Steel and carried their father’s work forward. Led by the elder brother, they then began building businesses of their own: KMC in music, Win Born Construction, and most recently Quantro Connect in technology. Every business in the group except the original steel business was founded by them.

Win Born Holding is the structure that holds all of it together. The businesses look nothing alike — a steel yard, a music school, a software team — but they were built by the same family, to the same standard, and they are meant to outlast the people running them today.
